Get free, quality blog traffic, Quick!

2363258975_4c1a659c4b One of the many things which I have constantly tried to achieve is the ability to get free, quality traffic that doesn't involve a lot of effort or extensive marketing to achieve what I want. One free tool which I have been using now for a very long time is a website called link reviewer. This trusty tool is a great way towards getting the traffic we desperately need, here's my two cents towards this website and its great uses. Hopefully I might inspire you to use it, you will be impressed with the results and best of all, it doesn't take a lot of effort to achieve. Just a few minutes a day and you win get 10 times the results.

A few years back before Link Reviewer even existed, a developer, the same one's, developed a website called link Referral. Where essentially, the whole purpose of the website is that for each website you visit, you get put up a list and ultimately get the traffic you want. On average, from this website I averaged around 40  unique visitors just from spending about 10 minutes a day. I also discovered many websites which I would not have known existed if it were not for link Referral.

Although link referral was getting me the free traffic that I wanted. I could never be happy with the service, the traffic that I was receiving wasn't of quality and it soon became a big waste of effort, even though it was about 10 minutes a day. To show that they had visited the websites, people would click on them and then straight away hit the exit button. The problem with link Referral is that you may get the hits but you don't get any visitors.

And here is link reviewer:

Lucky they got into making some changes to their previous service because link Reviewer is a massive change and for the first time gets you quality traffic for free.

How it works:

The user joins and adds their blog to the list. They then go through the list and select websites that are of interest. They visit the website and then go back to Link Reviewer and write a review for that website. The number of times they write a review moves them up a list in which they are categorized. The further up you get on the list, the more traffic you receive.

The difference between this service and others is that you don’t just have to visit the persons website, it is a requirement that you review. Because of the reviews, you increase the time on your site, so therefore you increase your traffic and more-so it is of much better quality

The two "make or break" blog tips which you must follow

tis People, on every single blog you read constantly are telling you about all these pointless blog tips that they say will make you thousands from your blog or get you millions of instant visitors. The thing I hate most about these blogs is that the people telling you how to make all this money or get all these visitors have probably never had a single cent from their blog or have only had a few visitors in the whole life time of their blog. They are all just plain scams, people telling you of all these blog tips that do nothing. Don't worry about listening to them, here are the only two blog tips you need to focus on, the rest will come naturally.

Back into blogging hell…

fire After two weeks and probably more (I cant remember) I have finally made it back from relaxing and am now ready to power back on and continue my struggle through the hell of the blogosphere. Before I continue on. Thanks to Shah from kbspot for looking after my blog while I was away. Anyway. Back on topic, when I got back from my holiday I was hoping that there would a big surprise waiting for me, there certainly was, one which I'm not happy about. Essentially, my blog has been going in a backwards spiral, traffic has decreased on my blog by 50% and my alexa rank has gone up by 60,000, I feel as though I'm being left behind in the blogosphere. (and its not just my blog) People seem to be losing interest in such a great topic...
I'm not the losing type and I will continue to persist on, even though I feel like l am back at square one. Here's what I plan to do:

4 reasons you should never consider using 3d technology

tv One of the big new and upcoming markets that have been just appearing is the so called 3D television market. This realm of 3D Extending out further especially with Nintendo confirming that it will be releasing the 3DS, a 3D version of the Nintendo ds (A portable gaming device) that does not require you to wear glasses like 3D television does. The thing, like most new and emerging technologies that I am always interested in is what effects does these new technologies have, are they safe? What damage will they do to future generations? Here are some of the things I think 3d technology could be damaging us and our heath.

Do you do everything for your blog?

stickim Finding the time to write a half decent blog post can often be tiring and put you in a state were you no longer want to blog, But then again, how often you write blog posts can often be crucial to the success of your blog. The thing I have always  hated about blogging is how much time it can often take. Especially when you're only option for writing a blog post is being stuck at a desktop computer without any other means of writing... I need freedom, away from being stuck at a desk. What actually, isn't that much, I decided to break away from the computer... I've gone portable.
Everyone always thinks that new technology is always better simply because it is powerful. If the "thing" gets the job done then it doesn't matter how old it is; just as I have realized. Just because I wanted this freedom for blogging anywhere, I decided to put in a little bit of cash and start looking for something to fill this empty void of blogging. In the end I discovered, on ebay, someone was selling a pocket PC. Exactly what I needed to be able to blog on the go. I was pleasantly surprised at what I got.

Just when i thought i was free…

free I worked my back to the point were i could no longer stand straight from the vast amounts of study i did for my exams. Wrote continuous blog posts that really didn’t seem to be doing anything for my blog and then of course, watched as not only my blog, but the many blogs around me have been slowly dying with the loss of many people and their interests towards blogging. As if things can’t get any worse for me, what may not seem so bad for you, i have just ended up in a much worse situation. 2 days left till school ends, i seriously thought that i would be able to take a break from study and finally be able to focus on improving my blog and making it actually succeed in some sense, and then like always, 2 weeks without internet… Yep, My parents decided that we would be going on an actual holiday.

Pulling yourself out of the blogging bell curve

pic One of the major things i have started noticing on this blog is a regular traffic order, generally in the shape of a bell curve. When i publish a blog post, there is not a massive amount of traffic, but by the next day, just like a bell curve, my traffic increases and then drops off again, a few days later. Although this is something common between many blogs, it’s something I'm not particularly happy with, and has led me to consider completely revising all my typical methods of getting traffic. Here’s some tips you can follow towards getting yourself out of the blog traffic bell curve.

5 reasons why you should not be blogging daily

267060150_e690307561 Feel free to argue right now but is often said, just like what people have told me so often, that blogging daily is the only way to a successful blog that people will actually want to read. There are heaps of blogs that apply to this rule, Problogger and Johnchow are two examples, but these blogs all miss one thing. They have lost many important elements that people often strive for in a blog… I am not trying to get you from blogging daily to narrow things down to fewer posts, i only want to inform you of the facts. So here they are, the downside to blogging daily.

Your readers will lose interest in your content:

Readers are not virtual online machines that are going to visit your blog every single day and then force themselves to read another one of your promotional products that they are not even interested in. People simply don’t have the time to read your blog every day, so publishing new content will only damage your readers interests.

Forget the community, if all you care about is your blog posts:

Continuing on from what i have just said above, losing interest in content on your readers behalf will destroy much more than just commenting. The more you blog, the more you destroy the community behind your blog. People are not going to comment on each blog post that you publish, therefore destroying the community element of your blog.

To much work to manage:

Have you ever experienced one of those moments were there's just to many comments flooding in that you have to rely on askimet to get the job done, and you can never read the actually discussion? I have… Once you start blogging daily then the amount of content you will be managing will greatly increase. You’ll be getting comments from all over your blog, and not just the most recent posts. In the end you will end up doing what Darren Rowse does at Problogger, allowing commenting but never replying to a single topic being discussed.

Daily blogging destroys the value of guest blogging:

Whether you have many visitors or not, blogging daily destroys the value of guest posting. When you devote your time to writing a guest post, you expect, and hope that might be able to market your own blog on someone else's. When daily blogging is introduced, this destroys this though. A new post daily means that your guest post will get get read by the readers, maybe only for a day, as new posts will quickly disappear behind new ones… Wondering why no one is guest posting on your blog, Maybe it's because their posts disappear to fast behind new ones.

The quality of your posts will be demised:

My prime example of this is the blog www.johnchow.com. A blog supposedly about making money online, with a motto of “I make money online, telling others how to make money online.” 80,000 rss readers, and I'm one of them. Only problem with this blog is that there is so much other crap being posted. He probably only posts a blog post about making money online about once a week, the rest of the posts are just about affiliate marketing etc. When you post daily, you loose the quality of your blogs and so things start to get messed up quickly.

Conclusion:

I’m not writing this blog post to get people away from blogging daily, I'm just trying to show the potential problems that may exist from it. Blogging daily actually has many positives if applied right. An example of this is Mashable. Mashable probably post 10 times a day, but their niche supports this. I recommend that if you are going to make daily blogging a common element behind your blog, always check whether your niche supports such a move. Maybe there just isn’t enough to cover so often, and you might end up sacrificing quality for quantity.
